- Alcoholism
cannot blame it for everything

victim of dv in hawaii (66.8.248.3) -

my boyfriend's father died of alcoholism. his cousin has been suffering from alcoholism. actually, his cousin was abusive and was sent back to palau from hawaii because of domestic violence.

my boyfriend is abusive and blames alcholism for his misbehavior. he is so crazy, one moment he is happy, but the next moment he is super-angry. i do not know what makes him so angry.

he always says that his mother did not talk back to his father. well, he has been treating his mom badly, but when he talks about his mom, he forgets how he has been treating his mom.

now, his sister is suffering from alcoholism and has been violent to other sisters. they are now thinking about putting her in the hand of professionals in palau.

i am so scared of this family with so many people suffering from alcoholism. they do not seem to be strong enough to quit drinking. everybody runs away from problems by drinking.

especially, my boyfriend, wilz, cannot accept himself as he is gay but trying to hide this fact from others. it is obvious that he is gay, the way he talks and the way he walks.

he cannot love me as i want him to love. of course, it is impossible as he is attracted only by men.

i am asking him to break up, but he has been making use of me for money and housing. i have got so many scars and cannot concentrate on my studies. i am broke and might have to quit school soon.

he is not studying at all. always going for a drink with local friends here in hawaii. his friend told me, "you deserve violence!" this remark was quite a blow to me as i had a strong belief that whatever the reason is, whoeveer it is, violence is not the solution to any problem. but, i had to realize that there are people who accept violence as the right of men in this world.

he is divorced and is now having an extra-marital affairs. he said that in front of his girlfreind, but his girlfriend did not seem to have been shocked by his stupid remark.

well, sometimes things are so difficult. a woman does not necessarily feel sympathetic to another woman. when she experiences it herself is the time when she is going to realize the impact of the problem, hey lori?

i could finally cut the relationship with him. i feel so free, and i feel no more stress. i look back my life, and now can feel so happy that he is gone. being away from all his terrible friends, and started regaining my confidence and self-esteem. i want to make the most use of my experience to help other women in the similar situations.
